Pete was a well loved brother in law who was generous, kind and full of fun. He had ill health for years; it must have been terribly frustrating and limiting but somehow he managed to live around it, taking great pleasure and interest in all things motorised and mechanical even when he couldn’t be active. He kept his Christian faith and appreciated monthly visits from our priest. A few pictures of him:- in his armchair and in his own world with head phones and iPad as he researched YouTube for everything from fighter jets to lumberjacks- lots of “ how to “ videos - or deep in favourite science fiction : great care with the brandy and matches with the Christmas Pudding: his care in sharpening kitchen knives and carving meat: careful research into each new car: motor bike riding and rebuilding: great interest in his children, g/children and son in law’s lives: his perfectly ordered workshop. Pips and Geoff have honoured and cared for him and Mary for years and especially over the last 28 months. They and the family are in our hearts.
